Kim and I briefly met while we both were attending Texas A&M University. We both graduated in the year 2020. Shortly after graduation, I moved to Boston, Massachusetts and worked there for two years. Once I got back to Houston in November of 2022, I reached out to Kim asking her if she would go on a date with me. She asked if I would pick her up at her apartment complex. When she walked towards my truck it felt like love at first sight. I took her to Superica in the Heights and then we went for ice cream. Ever since Superica weve been inseparable.

I decided to do a scavenger hunt for the proposal. I wanted to make it something memorable. I chose places that had special meaning to Kim and I. At each spot I had someone special to Kim give her a clue for the next spot. The first location was where we had our first date, so this was an important place to both of us. I had her mom meet her there. The second place was Jenis which is our favorite ice cream spot. Her roommate and another good friend met her there. The third location was Memorial Park. We go there all the time to walk Kobe. Our good friends Chris and Lauren flew in from out of town to surprise her at this spot. The fourth location was where we go to work out and my sister was waiting for her there. Finally, the last place was the venue where I proposed on the rooftop with the city in the background. It was storming and I was super nervous. My heart was racing 1000 miles per hour. As soon as I proposed the rain cleared and it was like a sign from God.
